Car Soiled With Stolen Potted Plant

There are no suspects in the case of vandalism with soil.

In a case of strange vandalism material, police responded on Thursday, June 20, shortly after 10 p.m. to a call that someone had discovered a potted plant on top of his trunk. That, and the soil to go with it.

David Cuozzo said he came out to his black Nissan parked on West Main Street and found a bag of potting soil emptied on the trunk with a potted plant stuck in it. When he removed the plant and tried the wipe the car with a towel, he noticed there was a significant amount of scratches on the car, which is valued at $18,525.

The potted plant, however, is valued at $24.99, and it was reported stolen the previous night from the front of the building at 247 West Main St., Northborough Canine Rehabilitation Center.

There are no suspects and no one has heard and noticed anything suspicious, said police.
