Here We Go Again: Severe Thunderstorms, 'Deadly Lightning,' Damaging Winds
The National Weather Service is posting all sorts of warnings about the weather today and into this Saturday evening.
The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a potentially significant damaging wind event across much of the northeastern U.S. on Saturday. Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop across the northern Mid-Atlantic region into New England during the afternoon and evening hours, repoted NWS. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Central Massachusetts, the NWS is indicating that the storm could produce damaging winds and large hail as well as deadly lightning and torrential rain. "If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning," reads the warning on NWS's website.
