Big Benefit at JJ's for the 15-40 Connection

Killer Queen reunites to join a host of others to raise money for cancer research.

More than five bands, raffles, a race car ... and a whole lot of enthusiasm ... make up a mega-benefit to raise money for cancer research on Sunday, April 7, from noon until closing at JJ's Sports Bar and Grill. The event raises money for the 15-40 Connection, which, works to "empower individuals with knowledge that will save and improve lives through early cancer detection." With a focus on early detection, 15-40 points out that "cancer survival rates in teens and young adults (ages 15 to 40) have barely improved since 1975 in a large part because a delay in diagnosis allows time for cancer to progress to more advanced stages." Longtime cover band faves Probable Cause plays JJ's.

If you've been out to a bar in the Worcester area in the past 20 years, chances are you've seen Probable Cause once or twice. Some fans—in fact many—have been following this cover band for years. Not only is it remarkable that the band has been kicking for 22 years, but with the same members. The Stones couldn't do it. Van Halen couldn't do it. The Police couldn't do it. The list goes on.
