Where to Vote: Polling Places for November Election

Know where you're voting on Tuesday.

The following information is courtesy of the town of Northborough Tuesday, Nov. 6, is the state election. All voting locations are open from 7a.m. until 8 p.m. The registration deadline was Oct. 17.  Sample ballots will be posted in the Town Clerk's office and at all voting precincts, you may also view a sample ballot online by entering your voting address. POLL: After the Conventions: Who Will Win the Presidential Election, Obama or Romney?

Now that the Democratic and Republican delegates have officially chosen their nominees, Patch wants to know: Who are you betting on?

And it is now official: With President Barack Obama's acceptance speech in Charlotte Thursday night, both the Republicans and Democrats have formally chosen their nominees for the 2012 presidential election. Let the real race begin. A lot can change between now and Nov. 6: Gaffes, scandals or even major international news events could shift the dynamics of the campaign. The latest Gallup Polls show registered voters preferring President Obama to Republican nominee Mitt Romney by just one percentage point, 47 percent to 46 percent. UPDATE: Romney Clear Winner in State, Town; Paul Distant Second

In a hotly contested Republican race for the presidency, voters didn't come out in droves, but picked Romney. Just over 15 percent of the total registered voters in town came out on Super Tuesday.

UPDATE: At 8 p.m., CNN projected that "Mitt Romney will win at least three states (Virginia, Vermont and Massachusetts) in Super Tuesday primaries, while Newt Gingrich grabbed a vital triumph in Georgia and Rick Santorum will win in Tennessee." By 9:40 p.m., the unofficial results came in from Northborough officials, indicating that Mitt Romney is the clear winner with 990 votes out of 1,301 cast, accounting for 76 percent of the Republican nomination. Ron Paul grabbed 117 votes, followed by Rick Santorum at 109 and New Gingrich with 58. Jon Huntsman got seven votes, Michelle Bachmann 3 and Rick Perry 2, with 13 left blank. Total votes cast on March 6 was 1,535 (including 232 democrats) of the 10,163 registered voters in Northborough, …

POLL: Can Newt Gingrich Make a Comeback?

After taking losses to Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum in recent days, can Newt Gingrich make a comeback in the Republian primary?

According to Politico, Newt Gingrich's comeback is already secured.  Not in the Republican primary, where his opponents Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum have taken victories in recent weeks, but in the broader political realm.  "Gone are the days of Gingrich as washed-up talking head, spouting off inflammatory and easily ignored rhetoric on Fox News in decidedly non-prime time hours," Politico's Alexander Burns wrote.  After taking a role as a marginalized radical in recent years, his current presidential run is a test of how much relevance a single campaign can earn, Politico says. This quest for relevance motivates Gingrich's long-shot campaign, and drags out an increasingly bloody Republican primary.  While the chances of a Gingrich …
