Two Friday Housebreaks, Suspects Looking for Jewelry

Police are looking for your help.

Police are investigating two house breakings and enterings that happened on Friday, Jan. 18. A B&E happened at 170 Howard St. on Friday between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. The suspect forced entry and stole jewelry, said police. A second break-in happened at 229 West St., where the suspect broke into the residence by forcing open the front door. According to police, it is unknown what was taken, "however it appears the suspect was targeting jewelry." Police encourage residents to notify the Northborough Police Department should they see any suspicious people of vehicles in their neighborhood. Anyone with information regarding these housebreaks should call the Northborough Police Detectives at 508-393-1522.

Thieves Only Take Women's Clothing in Hudson Street Break-In

A very "unusual" break-in occurred on Hudson Street yesterday.

A woman lost much of her wardrobe when intruders broke in and apparently stole a "large amount of female clothing" during a break-in yesterday on Hudson Street. Officers responded to 183 Hudson St. on Thursday, Oct. 4, where a break-in had occurred sometime between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. According to police, when the victims arrived home, they discovered that someone had forced their way into the apartment and a large amount of clothing, which had been hanging in a closet, was stolen. "This is obviously an unusual type of breaking and entering as far as the items that were stolen," said Det. Brian Griffin. UPDATE: Police Extend Search Area

Police are searching for a suspect believed to be connected to two housebreaks.

UPDATED, 2:37 p.m.: Police have extended the search for a housebreak suspect outside of the immediate area of the crime, which was reported to have taken place at 19 Claflin Farm Ln. Police said they have exhausted the search of the area near the house. State Police are handing over the search fully to Northborough police. State police tactical units, which included a helicopter and K9, responded Wednesday afternoon to the area of 19 Claflin Farm Ln., to help Northborough police search for a suspect believed to be connected to two housebreaks.
