Westborough Man Arrested for Northborough B&E

A Westborough man has been arrested for breaking into a home late Friday night.

A Westborough man has been charged with breaking into a home in Northborough this weekend. On Feb. 16, Adam D Boyce, 29, 17 Westend Ave., Westborough, was arrested and charged with wanton destruction of property over $250, and B&E at nighttime/felony. Northborough police responded to a burglar alarm that sounded at 44 Fisher St. in Northborough at 1 a.m. Saturday morning. Officer Jeremy Trefry found Boyce inside the home and he was immediately placed under arrest. Boyce had kicked in the side entry door to get inside, said police.  Boyce was later bailed to appear in Westborough District Court.

Damaged 'Obama as Hitler' Display Could Lead to Charges

A Shrewsbury man may face charges for damaging a table displaying an anti-Obama message in Northborough.

Carl Lund said, "It was just wrong." Lund, a local businessman who grew up in Northborough and now lives in Shrewsbury, may face charges for kicking over and damaging an anti-Obama display set up last week in Northborough. The display included pictures of President Barack Obama with an Adolf Hitler-style mustache. "I am a veteran and American citizen and will not tolerate someone portraying the President of the United States as Adolf Hitler," Lund told police. "This is why I did this."    Police had responded to the scene shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, when on the sidewalk in front of Bank of America, two men had set up the anti-Obama display. Man Gets Violent When He Can't Charge His Cell

An Easthampton man was arrested this weekend after becoming furious for not being allowed to charge his cell phone at a local frozen yogurt shop.

An Easthampton man was arrested after he was denied a request to charge his cell phone at a frozen yogurt shop in town. Keith R. Avella, 38, of 233 Main St., Easthampton, was arrested by Northborough police and charged with malicious destruction of property, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. According to police, Avella entered the Yowza! Frozen Yogurt Paradise on Main Street on Nov. 23 and became agitated when his request for a place to charge his cell phone was not met. As he left the store, he threw open the door, breaking its hinge, and remained belligerent when police arrived a short time later.  Judge Vito Virzi released Avella on personal recognizance and set a pretrial hearing for Jan. 10.
