Skylight, Letters Broken at ARHS; Vandalism at Ellsworth
Last week, police responded to at least two calls of vandalism.
On Thursday morning, Northborough police responded to vandalism to Algonquin Regional High School that had apparently happened overnight. Vandals climbed the roof, broke a skylight and stole lettering from the word "Algonquin" that is attached to the building, according to Det. Sgt. Brian Griffin. The damage was reported by school officials, and police say it appears the suspects may have been drinking beer on the roof, as empties were found near the damanged skylight. The matter is under investigation by Det. Jeff Noel. And on Wednesday afternoon, shortly after 1 p.m., police responded to vandalism that occurred at Ellsworth McAffee Park, where someone drove their vehicle on the back soccer field, causing damage.
