Toddlers Turn to Indoor Fun
Northborough toddlers now have a new indoor alternative for playtime as it becomes colder outdoors.
Don't let the cold air keep you and your toddlers homebound and inactive this fall and winter. The Northborough Recreation Department is now offering open playgroups at the Town Hall Gym. Allie Lane, director of the Northborough Recreation Department, is always coming up with new ideas to meet the fitness needs and interests of the families in the town. With lower usage of the area parks when it becomes cold and the snow piles up, the open playgroups will keep the kids running, provide a social aspect for both moms and kids, as well as put the gym space to good use. Lane emphasizes that these playgroups "are not a drop off; a parent must be present. There are all sorts of things to keep kids busy, but it is not organized play." The …
