A man has been charged with assault in an incident involving a knife in Northborough.
A Millbury man faces assault charges after allegedly brandishing a knife on a North Grafton man during a road rage incident Monday on Route 20 near Shops Way in Northborough. Donald Russell, 4 Elm Ct., Millbury, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon on a person over 65, and disorderly conduct. According to a report, police say Russell followed a driver to the lights at the intersection of Shops Way and Southwest Cutoff after he was cut off on Route 20. The victim, who is from North Grafton, said Russell pulled up alongside his car, made some gestures toward him and then brandished a long, silver knife at him and his passengers. The victim said he pulled onto Shops way because "he was not sure what the operator intended to do." …

Submitted by Massachusetts State Police The Massachusetts State Police are continuing to investigate the road rage-motivated car-to-car shooting in Merrimac that injured a 16-year-old girl on Sunday, July 1. As part of the ongoing investigation, we are again asking members of the public to contact police if they have any information. "To date, despite fairly heavy traffic on the road at that time, we have received very few leads, none of which have led to anything substantial, " said state police. Miranda, 31, 4 Plantation Terrace, Apt. 3R, Worcester, was arrested by Northborough police on June 17 and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and no inspection sticker. Virzi scheduled a pretrial hearing for Aug. 16. Lauren Delgreco, 48, of 62 Southwest Cutoff, Apt. B, Northborough, was summonsed to court on an April 9 complaint by Northborough police. Police charged a pair with assault after getting into an argument with another driver.
A Marlborough woman and a Hudson man have been charged with assault and disorderly conduct after a December incident that occurred near a stop sign at BJ's at Northborough Crossing. Yvette Diaz, 47, of 113 Elm St., Apt. 1, Marlborough, and Thomas Rivera, 33, 8 Felton St., Apt. 1, Hudson, were summonsed to court on an April 11 complaint by Northborough police and charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct. According to the police report, Diaz and Rivera got into a disagreement with a driver at a stop sign near BJ’s in Northborough Crossing. The driver honked his horn at the pair.
