There's Proctor School music, a ZBA meeting and more today.
1.The Zoning Board of Appeals meets this morning to discuss and vote on a change in the cease and desist order issued to Santo Anza, owner of SA Farm. 2.The Proctor School is having a band demonstration at 8:30 a.m. Learn more about the band, and music, at this school. 3. Enjoy dinner at the Senior Center, where dinner is served every Tuesday evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The menu includes two entrees, plus selections from the lunch menu. 4. The Northborough Youth Soccer Association holds its coaches meeting today, which was rescheduled due to Hurricane Irene. 5. The Lion's Club holds its bi-monthly meeting today.

It's post Irene day, and here are five things about it. But be sure to call first — power, and lack of it, is still an issue today.
Since many of the locations listed may be without power today, call ahead if you plan to attend these programs or events. 1. Join aerobics at the Senior Center this morning at 9 a.m. 2. Parents and their kids starting school, for the first time, are invited to the kindergarten social this afternoon at the Proctor School. 3. Children in grades one and two and their caregivers are invited to the first meeting of the book group at the Northborough Free Library. Drop by between 6 and 6:30 p.m., have a snack and grab your book. 4. The Youth Soccer coaches meeting is today at the Melican School at 7 p.m. 5. So, it's the day after Irene. What did you think? Here's a neat little package detailing the School Committee's agenda and discussions at the Wednesday, June 1, meeting.
The Northborough School Committte elected new officers, discussed the FY11 budget, heard improvement plans about the Proctor and Peaslee schools and said goodbye to Principal Beth Ludwig at the meeting on Wednesday, June 1. Committee elect: With nominations and unanimous votes, Nancy Berglund was elected chairman, Joan Frank vice chair and Shirley Lundberg as secretary as Northborough School Committee officers. Always room for improvement: Principal Margaret Donohoe of the Proctor school presented an improvement plan for the school. "Not even a tornado could stop this presentation," she joked.
