Memorial Day is a federal holiday. Here is a list of what's open and closed today:

Veterans, scouts and ARHS Marching Band among the participants.
Northborough observed Memorial Day with a parade and solemn observances at four town monuments. The "Battle Hymn of the Republic" was played and Lincoln's "Gettysburg Address" was read at the Civil War Monument. A Memorial Wreath was placed and a Rifle Salute was rendered at the World War II/Korean War/Vietnam Memorial. Girl Scout Allison Berardi read a poem that she wrote called "A Memorial Day Tribute" at the First World War Monument. The final stop was at the Howard Street Cemetery, where the ARHS Chamber Choir sang "America the Beautiful." Guest speakers were Selectman Jeff Amberson, State Senator Harriet Chandler and State Representative Harold P. Naughton.
