VIDEO: Julie Stanwood: Winner of the Mother's Day Makeover

Watch the transformation at New Leaf Salon of a complete makeover for our Mother's Day winner at Patch.

When Ruth Reeve, a Northborough resident, nominated Julie Stanwood for the Patch Mother's Day Makeover contest, others quickly seconded the recommendation. "Julie is an amazing mother of five children, two of whom have special needs," wrote Reeve. "She manages their busy schedules usually single handedly, as her husband works out of state. Sports, Scouts, school, therapy - she is an active participant in everything they do." As if raising five children isn't enough, Reeve let us know that Stanwood is a dynamic member of the Northborough Junior Woman's Club, a volunteer with "Birthday Wishes" and an outreach coordinator at her children's schools. And the Winner of the Marvelous Makeover Is ...

What a tough decision. But the panel at New Leaf Salon has chosen a queen.

The panel at New Leaf Salon had a "really hard time picking just one winner. There were some really compelling nominations." But a winner was chosen. Julie Stanwood will receive the Marvelous Mothers prize package, which will give her a massive makeover package valued at more than $700. The complete makeover features a new hair design including cut and color, anti-aging skin treatment and professional make-up application at New Leaf Salon and Spa, as well as a new custom-selected outfit from Niva Boutique.
