[VIDEO] Daughtry Rocks Through a Short One at JJ's

Daughtry drilled out a few acoustic numbers in Northborough for a WXLO promotional event.

You had to win to get in. Listeners on WXLO 104.5 FM had a week to win free tickets online to get in to the Daughtry show at JJ's Sports Bar on Monday, Nov. 7. And that, they did. The bar was packed for the short set that included a chat with Chris Daughtry and guitarist Brian Craddock as well as photo sessions with everyone who attended the show.

WXLO Giving Away Tickets to Exclusive Daughtry Show in Northborough

The pop idol is putting on one show in Northborough, and you have to win to get in.

Chris Daughtry, who is one of the most successful finalists ever to come out of the show "American Idol" with his band, Daughtry. With two albums, and hits such as "Feels Like Tonight," "It's Not Over" and "Home," the artist proved he's got staying power and talent beyond the fluff the show can sometimes produce. WXLO is offering changes to win tickets to a Daughtry show on Monday, Nov. 7, at JJ's in Northborough. Winning, mind you, is the only way to get in the door. Take the Rugged Road to JJ's

On the eve of Hurricane Irene, the band Rugged Road rocks JJ's Sports Bar and Grille.

Rugged Road plays a mix of classic rock covers that focuses on Southern rock and blues-tinged hits of the past, including songs by the Allman Brothers, The Eagles and Stevie Ray Vaughan. The band plays on Saturday, Aug. 27, at JJ's Sports Bar and Grille. Valvatross is Landing at JJ's

The big blast of R&B known as Valvatross is heading to JJ's on Friday for a second time.

The combination of two former bands - Albatross and The Valves - Valvatross is known for its massive, horn-induced attack on R&B. For an encore performance, Valvatross is coming to JJ's Sports Bar and Grille, on Friday, Aug. 26. "Alba-Valve didn't have a good ring to it," said Steve LeClaire, tenor sax player for the band.  From Albatross, bassist Bob Palermo and keyboard John Bianchi joined the Tornado Horns (which formerly were the horn section for the Valves) Roger Grover on trumpet, Allen Keifer on sax, Ben Gould on trombone, and LeClair.
