Still interested in what's happening with those building across from Dunkin' Donuts?
In July, Northborough Patch met with Jimmy Voyiatzis, who is the developer of the buildings located at 73-79 Main St., almost directly across from the Dunkin' Donuts. For nearly three years, building plans and construction have been underway for these two identical colonial structures. According to Town Planner Kathy Joubert, Boost Fitness, which is presently located at 4 West Main St. (in the building formerly occupied by Tom's Marketplace), is planning to move into one of the buildings at the beginning of February. John Coderre, town administrator, remarked at the Board of Selectmen meeting, "One building will be occupied by Boost, and the other building will be a restaurant. You wanted to know, so Northborough Patch is answering. Here's what's happening across the street from Dunkin' Donuts.
For more than two years, construction has been underway (sporadically) kitty corner from the Dunkin' Donuts in town. Residents constantly wonder, "What's going in there?" The twin colonial buildings, located at 73-79 Main St., will include a new restaurant and some to-be-named businesses. Jimmy Voyiatzis purchased the property in 2008, and began the permit and building process shortly thereafter. Provided some design glitches are ironed out, the restaurant — called Hillside Restaurant Pasta and Seafood — should be open by the fall. Hillside Restaurant he describes as a "new style restaurant with gourmet food for a Blue Jeans Pizza price."
