These Kids Are Alright: The Who Tribute Hits JJ's

Happy Jack makes its JJ's Sports Bar debut this weekend.

Along with the Beatles and the Stones, The Who ranks as one of the most influential of the British Invasion. Fervent fans and musicians count the English quartet as one of the greatest influences on music, and their own playing. Few, though, can emulate it with any accuracy. Trying to capture the anthematic power punch created by these dominating musicians should not be attempted by the weak. Happy Jack, a local Who tribute act, hits it right (literally and figuratively), with Townshend guitar tones, booming bass, Moon's signature rolling and swinging drum fills, and the commanding, throaty wail of Roger Daltry.
