Northborough Schedules Additional Flu Clinic

The CDC has stated this could be the worst flu season in ten years.

This week, Health Agent Jamie Terry issued this notice to the town: The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is stating that this could be the worst flu season in ten years.  At this time the public is being guided to assure all family members receive the flu vaccine, encouraging hand washing and assuring that persons stay home when they are sick.  The Northborough Health Department has scheduled an additional flu clinic for Jan. 15 from 3-5 p.m. at the Northborough Town Hall located at 63 Main St. The Health Deparment is not registering persons for the clinic; it will be on a first come first serve basis. The Red Cross said there's still time for folks to get flu shots and be covered from what is considered to be a more active flu season. Here are some local options. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) said flu outbreaks are high for this time of the season, with "widespread activity" in Massachusetts. How do you prevent the flu?
