Police Log: Car Hits Snowbank, Stop Sign; B&E Arrest

Incidents, Friday, Feb. 16 1:05 a.m.: Alarm company reporting mud room and garage door alarms / 1 in custody, Fisher Street 1:43 a.m.: Request mutual aid from Shrewsbury and SP K-9, Fisher Street 8:46 a.m.: Minor 2 car MVA, West Main Street. Parties exchanged paperwork prior to arrival. 9:14 a.m.: Report of deceased cat in roadway, Davis Street. Highway notified. 1:32 p.m.: Medical call, West Main Street 4:19 p.m.: Car into snowbank, Bartlett Street. Vehicle is GOA, appears a stop sign was struck and needs to be repaired. Police Arrest Man for Multiple Car Break-ins

Police have arrested a man they believe is involved in break-ins in Marlborough, Hudson, Westborough, Sudbury, Shrewsbury, and Clinton.

Police have arrested a man they believe to be responsible for multiple car break-ins in Marlborough and many surrounding towns. "Mr. Carty also made statements which implicated him in similar crimes in other municipalities including Hudson, Westborough, Sudbury, Shrewsbury, and Clinton," according to a press release put out by Marlborough Police detailing the arrest. Police arrested Christopher Carty, 27, of 207 Lincoln Street Apt. 3 on Route 290 Westbound Thursday. The arrest followed an ongoing investigation which gave police information about a vehicle and suspect related to break-ins the area of the Rail Trail near Sasseville Way. Have You Seen This Person? Northborough's Most Wanted

Northborough's police department does continue to look for suspects who have escaped arrest.

Residents and the police are thankful that murders are scarce in Northborough, but no community remains untouched by crime. And not all the bad guys have been caught. Thirteen people are listed on the massmostwanted website of those who have allegedly committed crimes in Northborough. Four of those listed have been recently captured, two have been identified and seven are still at large. Det. Sgt. Brian Griffin said the Northborough Police Department has used massmostwanted, successfully, in the past and will continue to use it. "I can't recall the last time we have uploaded a picture to the website," said Griffin. "When we do post, we want to be certain we are posting the picture of the right person.
