Repetitive Stress Injuries and Postural Issues Common Among Kids

Increased injuries and posture issues among children seem to be related to the increased participation in sports, increased use of technology, and lack of proper footwear.

Children’s bodies are in constant motion and growth and this can make them more susceptible to injury at the bone growth sites such as at the heel, knee, back, hip, shoulder, or elbow. Dr. Danielle Hanlon, who operates Naturally Chiropractic with her husband Hubert, has been practicing chiropractic care since 1995. She has treated an increased number of children in her practice; close to 20 percent of her patients are currently children. She believes that the awareness of chiropractic care is helping parents choose it as an alternative for their children.
