A Mashpee man was charged with stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.
A two-day investigation has led to the arrest of a Mashpee man who stole numerous items from BJ's, including Bose speakers and surveillance video equipment. Christopher Sean Eld, 46, 82 Blue Spruce Way, Mashpee, was arrested and charged with eight counts of larceny over $250, defacing property, and misleading a police investigation. Eld also was arrested on a warrant for previous shoplifting charges. The Asset Prevention Team at BJ's initially reported on Wednesday, March 6, that store employees found an empty package that had contained Bose speakers. The protection team was able to identify on surveillance video the suspect removing the speakers from the packages, said police. "At the time they suspected that this thief was responsible …

A Peabody man was arrested on charges of damaging two vehicles in the parking lot of Motel 6.
A Peabody man has been arrested and charged with damaging two vehicles in the parking lot of Motel 6 in Northborough, according to Northborough police. Darren Redmond, 40, 3 Magnolia Way, No. 326, of Peabody, was arrested on Thursday on two counts of defacing property. The incident had a "domestic angle," according to police, and involved Redmond's fiancee and another person she was allegedly with at Motel 6. Redmond was arrested and released on $40 bail, and later transported to Marlborough Hospital for medical issues.
