A Worcester man was arrested after a drunk-driving related crash on Tuesday afternoon.
A Worcester man was arrested for the sixth time for drunk driving after crashing into a tree at the corner of Southwest Cutoff and Hitching Post Lane in Northborough on Tuesday afternoon. Kenneth B. Williams, 60, 6 Pilgram Ave., Worcester, was arrested and charged with OUI (sixth offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating after revocation for OUI and a marked lanes violation. Williams sustained injuries, and was taken into custody for OUI. According to Northborough Police Chief Mark Leahy, the injuries were very minor. "The operator," said Leahy, "just drove off the right side of the road and about 20 feet into the woods. He was clearly impaired."

Police arrested a 20-year-old man for OUI in Northborough.
A Framingham man was arrested on Friday after crashing in the front yard of a Northborough home. Joshua Prouty, 20, 60 Edmands Rd., Framingham, was charged with speeding, OUI, having an open container in a MV, possessing alcohol under 21, operating to endanger and marked lanes violation after police responded to a crash in the early morning hours on Friday, Nov. 25. At 2:15 a.m., Northborough police responded to 76 Davis St., where they found a vehicle on its roof in the front yard. Prouty was sitting on the ground, and transported by the Fire Department to UMass Medical Center due to his injuries, according to police. Prouty was charged while at the hospital.

Police responded to the scene of the one-car rollover.
Police responded to the report of a single-car rollover on Route 290 West earlier this evening. It happened near the Church Street exit. According to reports, the victim self-extricated and the sole occupant was transported to UMass. Traffic was backed up for miles waiting for the scene to be cleared. MA State Police and Northborough Fire Department reports indicate that an ambulance was on the scene to transport the occupant(s) to a nearby hospital. More information will be reported as it becomes available.

A Shrewsbury man died this morning when his truck crashed near the Church Street exit on I-290 eastbound.
A Shrewsbury man died this morning when his pickup truck collided with a tree off I-290 near the Church Street exit, police said. Russell Eaton, 46, of Shrewsbury was pronounced dead at the scene. At 6:30 this morning, troopers from the Massachusetts State Police barracks in Holden responded to the crash on Route 290 eastbound in Northborough. Eaton was the only occupant of the vehicle, police said. A preliminary investigation by Trooper Sean Healy showed that the 2004 GMC pickup truck operated by Eaton, 46, was travelling east at a high rate of speed when he veered off into a tree. The investigation also indicated no signs that Eaton applied his breaks, said police. The facts and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation, …
