Thieves Steal Coins From Local Business Tuesday Morning

There was a break-in at a local donut shop early Tuesday morning.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., Northborough Police got a call from employees at Honey Dip Donuts on Main Street that there had been a break in overnight. Police said a rear door had been pried open, and less than $100 in rolled coins were taken. There are no suspects at this time.

Golf Business Broken Into on Thanksgiving Day

Someone broke into a local golf shop on Thanksgiving morning.

Police are investigating a break-in that occurred at East Coast Golf Academy and Practice Center in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving day. The suspect forced open a basement door to the business, and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the business, according to police. "The break was discovered by an employee who went to open up the business on Friday morning," said Det. Sgt. Brian Griffin. Det. Scott Maffioli is handling the investigation.

Hot Dog Steamer Stolen From Pizza Place Overnight

Equipment and cash were stolen from a local pizza place.

A local pizza place was broken into during the overnight hours of Nov. 13, according to police. Cash from a register, video surveillance equipment and a hot dog steamer were stolen from Freshway Pizza during the break-in. According to police, an employee who was opening the business in the morning discovered that the rear door had been forced open. "The hot dog steamer is obviously an unusual piece of equipment to have been stolen," said Sgt. Det. Brian Griffin. "I can’t say I’ve ever really seen that before." There are no suspects at this time, and Det. Scott Maffioli and officer Phil Martin are investigating.

In our neighborhood, there was a series of incidents of storage unit break-ins. Come to think of it, these self-storage facilities have the best security there is. I wonder how these thieves able to break in? We have a theory that these might be inside jobs. This is because the storage units that were in question stored very valuable items.
