1. Students in grades 3 and 4 meet for the book club at the Northborough Free Library today to discuss books focusing on historical fiction. Talk about the books, and enjoy a snack with other readers. 2. The town offices were closed on Thanksgiving day and Friday, and of course through the weekend, but are back open for business today, should you need to take care of anything. 3. Our Deck the Halls decorating contest starts today, folks. And the prize is no small potatoes. Think you've got what it takes to win? Well, it's easy to enter.  4. 1. Make "candy sushi" at this Asian food and fun event at the Northborough Free Library today. 2.The month's selection for the book club at the Northborough Senior Center is The Reliable Wife. Discuss it with the group at 1:30 p.m. 3. There's also a book discussion today over at the library, where folks are encouraged to stop in and talk about what they are reading this summer. 4. TOPS meets every week at Trinity Church. TOPS, which stands for Taking Off Pounds Sensibly, does just that — provides weekly support for those looking to meet weight loss goals, in a sensible fashion. 5. Kids sing it: weekly, JJ's hosts a kids karaoke, an open mic for the younger folks to give their musical talent a shot.
