Now, that's a lot of beef. Smoky, grilled, premium beef, at that. Fernando Valverde won the most recent Texas BBQ Company drawing. Each Thursday, the restaurant gives diners a chance at winning an entree. This week, Valverde enjoyed a certified angus beef smoked bone-in ribeye steak, which weighed 2.28 pounds. And this included sides. We're not sure if he finished it.

Jonathan Brannon walks us through the rib smoking process at Texas BBQ Company.
In case you missed it, we talked with Jonathan Brannon, pitmaster at Texas BBQ Company, months ago. His grandfather Billy started the Texas BBQ Companies in Texas and Arizona, and his dad, owner Dave Brannon, brought the business to New England, opening in Northborough in 2006. Today, we watch the pitmaster walk us through the preparation of those famous ribs. And, just in time for Super Bowl Sunday. Brannon adds that lots of catering and take-out orders are coming in. BBQ chicken, strawberry shortcake and Jug O' Punch were on the menu.
The Rotary Club of Northborough grilled up a feast for folks at the Senior Center on Tuesday. The menu consisted of barbecued chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, cranberry sauce, potato chips, strawberry shortcake, gourmet cookies, coffee, tea and cold drinks. Entertainment was provided by Jug O' Punch.
