Degray, 19, of 1970 Allen St., Springfield, was arrested at Church and Brewer streets and charged with a marked lanes violation, speeding and operating under the influence of liquor. 10:14 a.m.: Police recovered a license plate, MA 74GD55, on West Main Street. 5:13 p.m.: Rene T. Kelley, 54, of 11 Sanfred Rd., Leicester, was arrested on Shops Way and charged with larceny over $250. 8:34 p.m.: Police responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash on Southwest Cutoff. Police have arrested a man they believe is involved in break-ins in Marlborough, Hudson, Westborough, Sudbury, Shrewsbury, and Clinton.
Police have arrested a man they believe to be responsible for multiple car break-ins in Marlborough and many surrounding towns. "Mr. Carty also made statements which implicated him in similar crimes in other municipalities including Hudson, Westborough, Sudbury, Shrewsbury, and Clinton," according to a press release put out by Marlborough Police detailing the arrest. Police arrested Christopher Carty, 27, of 207 Lincoln Street Apt. 3 on Route 290 Westbound Thursday. The arrest followed an ongoing investigation which gave police information about a vehicle and suspect related to break-ins the area of the Rail Trail near Sasseville Way. The following cases were heard in Westborough District Court.
Wednesday, Oct. 17 Sarceno Donis, 30, of 601 Main St., Clinton, was summonsed to court on a complaint by Northborough police on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop and yield. Judge Robert Calgione found Donis responsible on a decriminalized charge of driving after license suspension and not responsible on the failure to stop or yield charge and ordered him to pay $700 in fees. Amilcar Barshona, 25, of 106 Maple Ave., Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, refusal to identity self and using a false name. Press release submitted by State Police. At noon yesterday, Thursday, Oct. 11, Trooper Dana Oliver, who is assigned to the State Police Barracks in Holden, stopped a car for various motor vehicle violations on Route 290 westbound in Northborough. Inside were three men who provided Trooper Oliver information that was false. Further investigation revealed the vehicle was improperly registered, the operator was unlicensed and their Puerto Rican identifications were possibly forged. A subsequent search yielded close to 300 grams of heroin. All three were taken into custody for drug trafficking, conspiracy to violate the drug laws and distribution of a Class A substance.
