Been here a few times. Great food and great service! Looks like they just released a new menu with some new sandwiches and appetizers. Last time we had the onion soup and chowder which are some of the best around. The NY strip and salmon were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The mashed and spinach are great, but the creamed corn is the hidden jewel. The molten chocolate cake is the perfect ending!
I just got back from this restaurant and it was really good. Got the last table at 6:15 and when we left at 8, there was a 45 minute wait so guess people are finding what I found....great food and great service. We all had great steaks and try a grilled ceasar salad....yummy!
Avoid this place! I went there a few times now, the service is horrible, you just about have to beg for somone to get you a drink or food.
I ordered the seadog burger, the house special. Im sorry this was gross it tasted like it was cooked last month and reheated. it was dry, over cooked and after 3 bites I gave up on it. I ordered a rare burger and got over cooked shoe leather. thank god I did manage to get one whole drink the 1 1/2 hours I was there. Not once was I asked " how was it" or " can I get you any thing else. I paid extate change plus 1cent.
Disappointed that it is NOT a Sea Dog Brew Pub. I've been to 2 of the 3 locations in Maine and love them. Was looking for some favorites like the grilled meatloaf sandwich, but this is more of a "yuppie" restaurant than the Sea Dog Brew Pub I've come to know and love. Expensive as fart as I'm concerned, but I will say that the burger was fantastic! Cooked perfectly, and juicy. The beer also super. I'm not a Bud or Miller man anyway, I prefer "real" micro brews made with more TLC. I just don't think it will last based on the menu I saw. The last expensive place here went belly up. My opinion they'd have killed with the standard Sea Dog Pub menu as opposed to this "upscale" too expensive for what you get menu. I hope they get the hint and change it back
Very disappointed. Don't order the New York Strip (most expensive on menu) or the Barley -Crusted Pork Tenderloin. We complained to the manager about the dry tasteless steak and his response was "that was how they make it (seared until dry at 600 degrees). My response was that I won't be ordering the steak again. The pork was also dry and tasteless. The manager admitted that he did like the look of it as it was coming out of the kitchen and it wasn't up to their standards. So why was it served to a customer? The pork was taken off the bill which still came to $60 before tip. Way too overpriced for mediocre food and very small portions. It is really too bad because the waitstaff, drinks and salads were very good.

Well, I have to say when they 1st opened I wasnt impressed, We did visit the Sea dog again this past week April 4 2012, they changed what seems to be everything, they changed the menu and the staff too it would seem, You get welcomed when you come in and have a seat at the bar moments after sitting down, a remake of the menu too, I tried the rib eye, it was served hot and was a pretty good cut, tho a tad thin ( about 1/4" - 1/2" thick) so it cooked a bit too much for my taste. but I will visit again, Its good to see the issues they had on the grand opening month or two have been fixed, Sea Dog is a good place to eat, clean, good food and an fair value for the price.
