Holiday Trolley Returns Saturday After 1-Year Absence

Two trolleys and 16 stops are part of this year's event, which runs from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.

After a one-year absence, the Northboro Holiday Trolley returns on Saturday with twice the trolleys and twice the stops as years past.

Two trolleys and 16 stops are part of this year's event, which runs from noon to 6 p.m., said Kimberly Reed, whose family owns The Purple Rose.

The local businesses sponsor the event, which wasn't held last year due to the downtown project, Reed said during an e-mail interview.

"People will enjoy the caroling on the trolley, the events in the different businesses, the raffle prizes and the feeling of community during the holidays," she said.

"Our hopes are for them to enjoy the small businesses that are sponsoring the event through the year as well as the holidays."

Reed encouraged community members to visit the event's website for more information.
