Teens: Catch a Movie Monday Night

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Northborough.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Northborough to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Catch a movie.

The Northborough Free Library offers a Teen Movie Night for grades six to 12 at 6 p.m. Monday.

2. Hear stories

The Northborough Free Library offers a winter animal storytime for ages preschool to grade two at 10 a.m. Saturday. Registration is required.
 
3. Mad about science?

A six-week Science Around You program for ages seven to 10 runs at the Northborough Free Library starting Jan. 18. Learn more here.

4. Root for the Tomahawks.

Here is Monday's Algonquin Regional High School sports schedule:

  • Varsity boys ice hockey: in the Boys Varsity Tournament, at the New England Sports Center, opponent and time to be determined.
  • JV boys ice hockey: vs. St. John's, at NorthStar Ice Sports, 8:10 a.m.
  • JV boys basketball: vs. Westborough, noon
  • Freshman boys basketball: vs. Westborough, 1:30 p.m.
  • Freshman girls basketball: at Westborough, 1:30 p.m.
  • Varsity girls ice hockey: vs. Dover-Sherborn, at Boch Ice Arena, 2 p.m.
  • JV girls basketball: at Westborough, 3 p.m.
  • Varsity girls basketball: at Westborough, 4:30 p.m.
  • Varsity boys basketball: at Westborough, 6 p.m.

5. Back to school.

The Northborough and Southborough public schools return to school, from winter break, on Thursday.
