Over 500 Catch Sox Trophy

The last photo was taken at 4:46 p.m., one minute after the festivities' scheduled ending, Town Administrator John Coderre said.

The Boston Red Sox 2013 World Series Championship trophy's visit to Northborough started early and went, briefly, into extra innings.

Over 500 fans came to the Northborough Senior Center on Monday to get photos with the trophy, Town Administrator John Coderre told selectmen Monday night.

"The line was so long that we made the decision to start" earlier than the 2:45 p.m. scheduled time, he said.

The last photo was taken at 4:46 p.m., one minute after the festivities' scheduled ending, Coderre said.

"Everybody that came got to get their picture taken. It was just fantastic to see so many families, and, as you can imagine, the range in ages, from senior citizens to newborns, (that) had their pictures taken.

"Everybody that came got what they were there for. It was just a great event. All I heard was just that everyone was thrilled and happy."
