NorthStar's Rink C Officially Opens

Finz, the Worcester Sharks mascot, then joined the crowd for a 45-minute public skating session.

This schedule was held twice Saturday.

In addition, Rink A hosted hockey drills.

And in the parking lot, a Worcester Sharks inflatable invited people to shoot on an inflatable goalie.

NorthStar officials broke ground on the $4 million Rink C project in February, and opened the rink in September. It's the third ice surface at NorthStar, which was formerly the North Star Youth Forum.

The building includes a new skate rental office. a new ballet/stretching/dance room and a weight biometrics room,and an additional conference room, Executive Director Denise Marco has said.
