Both Algonquin Regional High School varsity soccer teams advanced to their Sectionals semifinals Saturday night, according to the tournament websites.
The Tomahawks girls defeated visiting Quabbin, 5-0, in a 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Soccer Central Division 1 game.
Algonquin will host the winner of Monday night's Nashoba-Shrewsbury quarterfinal. The semifinal game has not been scheduled. The semifinal winner advances to the Sectionals final.
Algonquin (13-2-3 regular season) is seeded third in the 10-team bracket.
Meanwhile, the Algonquin boys defeated visiting Shrewsbury, 5-1, in a 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Soccer Central Division 1 game Saturday night.
The Tomahawks will host Shepherd Hill in a quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Monday.
The winner advances to the semifinals against Sunday's South-Westborough quarterfinal winner.
The semifinal winner advances to the Sectionals final.
Algonquin (10-5-3 regular season) is seeded fifth in the 12-team tournament.
