Algonquin Champs in Summer B-Ball League
The Gonk girls were victorious in the summer championship game.
The Algonquin Tomahawks were victorious over the Shrewsbury Colonials, winning the championship game of the Shrewsbury Girls' Summer Basketball League, 37-18, reported the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.
While the Colonials kept the gap tight in the first half, they did not score again in the second half, with Algonquin citing its tight defense as the key to the win.
