Bullying Awareness 5K Won By Shawn Prevoir

More than 140 people participated in Saturday's event at the Melican Middle School.

More than 140 people took Northborough's bullying awareness message to the streets on Saturday.

Northborough Stands Together Against Bullying's 4th Annual Bullying Awareness 5K Run/Walk was won by Shawn Prevoir, who crossed the Melican Middle School finish line in a time of 20:39, according to coolrunning.com.

The proceeds from the event will support bullying awareness programs in the schools.

Participants wore T-shirts that read "Everything Counts. Everyone matters," and wristbands that read "Everyone matters."

According to coolrunning, the top 10 finishers were:

  • Dan Frank, 22:38
  • William Uliasz, 23:09
  • Tess Reyes, 23:18
  • Christina MacAulay, 24:29
  • Hannah Dwyer, 24:50
  • Lucy Gauvin, 24:55
  • Jennifer Gauvin, 24:57
  • Jane Shou, 25:03

Prizes were awarded to the top male and female finishers in these age brackets:

  • Under 15
  • 15 to 19
  • 20 to 29
  • 30 to 39
  • 40 to 49
  • 50 to 59
  • 60 and over
