BJ's Wholesale Club 'Adopts' Proctor School

BJ's will give a $500 check and a one-year membership to 204 schools.

BJ's Wholesale Club will give a $500 check and a one-year membership to 204 elementary schools among 15 states, including Northborough's Fannie E. Proctor Elementary School.

BJ's, based in Westborough, announced Tuesday which schools were chosen for its 2013-2014 Adopt-a-School program.

Each school gets $500 for "field trips, special events, new equipment or curriculum enhancements," plus the one-year membership, BJ's officials said in a press release.

The Massachusetts schools chosen are:

  • Attleboro: Hills-Roberts Elementary
  • Auburn: Bryn Mawr Elementary
  • Berkley: Berkley Community School
  • Braintree: Donald Ross Elementary School
  • Brockton: Mary E. Baker Elementary School
  • Burlington: Memorial Elementary School
  • Charlemont: Hawlemont School
  • Cheshire: Cheshire Elementary School
  • Dartmouth: James M. Quinn Elementary School
  • Dedham: Greenlodge Elementary School
  • Dennis: Wixon School
  • Framingham: Miriam F. McCarthy Elementary School
  • Franklin: Helen Keller Elementary School
  • Gloucester: Beeman Memorial Elementary School
  • Haverhill: Tilton Elementary School
  • Leominster: Johnny Appleseed School
  • Marlborough: Richer Elementary School
  • Marshfield: Daniel Webster School
  • Medford: Christopher Columbus Elementary School
  • Northborough: Fannie E. Proctor Elementary School
