Baby it's warm outside!

As I sit in my car on this Sunday morning, I thought to myself, hmm its' pretty warm today and when I look at the temperature control in the car, it tells me it's 40 degrees.  Now I know 40 is not warm by my standards but the reason my body thought it was warm because it experienced the deep freeze of 10 degrees last week.  Isn't it all relative?  If it had been 40 straight, I could have been complaining about how cold it was.  But it had to get worse for me to appreciate better.  Isn't this how it feels in life as well?  We don't appreciate normal things, routines, experiences until it gets worse or they get taken away from us.  So, for the rest of the day, try to enjoy things as they are without taking them for granted.  A warm meal, a cold drink, a gentle touch, a kind smile, a green light,  a stranger opening the door for you, a cashier telling you, " have a good day".  Do not take any generosity of gesture for granted. Think of every little thing that happens to you as a gift and feel the gratitude for it.  Go ahead and say it mentally, "Thank you".  Notice how the change in your attitude changes everything around you.  Don't wait for the deep freeze to be thankful for the warmth in your life.   ~ Namaste
