School Board Backs Pope, Bank Robbed at Gunpoint

On Tuesday afternoon, the Marlborough Savings Bank on Boston Post Road East was Robbed, Possibly at Gunpoint. By the end of the week, police had yet to make an arrest in the case. 

The School Committee Backed superintendent Anthony Pope with a statement of support, calling at Jan. 27 incident at the high school in which a staffer said she was pushed and students claimed they were treated rudely "unfortunate." The school board also said it would offer confliclt resolution training to staff at all level.

Late in the week, a New Park Appears on Main Street. Directly across from City Hall, the new park fills a lot left vacant after a building was destroyed by fire and had to be razed. 

Patch also tapped Mike Yates as Athlete of the Week for his performance both on the mound at at the plate.
