Planning Board to Propose Solar Farm Regulations in Spring
A citizen-led proposed temporary moratorium on large scale solar farms is on Monday night's special town meeting warrant.
A proposed temporary moratorium on large scale solar farms meshes with planning board efforts to regulate such structures, Chairman Rick Leif said Wednesday night.
The board plans to propose regulations at the annual town meeting in the spring, Leif said.
A citizen-proposed moratorium until May 1 is on the special town meeting warrant. The town meeting is at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Algonquin Regional High School.
“The May 1 date to end the moratorium is consistent with what we’re doing," Leif said.
