Please double check the trash pick up schedule. According to a print out I have from the Northborough Town Hall, Labor Day is NOT listed as one of the holidays that will delay trash (and recycling if it's your week) by one day. With the new company doing the pick up, the next one listed is Thanksgiving. There are many fewer delayed pickups this year. People are advised to call Allied Waste Services according to the print out I got from the town website.

A notice on the Town Hall website indicates that there will be NO trash pickup/recycling on Monday, September 3rd.

I just looked on the town website and their pdf calendar matches the version that we have printed out, which DOES list labor day as a holiday that delays pickup. You're correct in stating that there are many fewer delayed pickups (the sheet says there are six this year), but Labor day is indicated as one of the six.

According to the 2012-2013 trash collection schedule on the town website, it does show today as being a holiday. http://www.town.northborough.ma.us/Pages/NorthboroughMA_Engineering/2012-2013%20Recycling%20Calendar%20and%20Info.pdf
