Tipster Helps Thwart Burglary Attempt in Northborough

An early morning tip from a Church Street resident led to a possible burglary being averted in Northborough, according to police.

Satino F. Grilla, 23, of Sherbrook Avenue in Worcester, was arrested at 5:20 a.m. on June 18, and charged with trespass, conspiracy, defacing property, being in possession of a burglarious instrument, marked lanes violation, speeding in violation of a special regulation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failing to stop for police.

Also arrested was Koren K. Quesada, 26, of Country Club Blvd in Worcester, who was charged with trespass, conspiracy, and possession of a burglarious instrument.

According to an information summary provided by police, a Church Street resident reported seeing a suspicious vehicle, a Jeep, in a driveway behind a house that was for sale at a little past 3 a.m. The tipster reported seeing people with flashlights outside as well. 

When officers arrived, the vehicle allegedly fled the home and later, stopped on Overlook Drive where the two suspects fled on foot.

A Massachusetts State Police K9 unit was called in along with the police chief and detectives. Westborough and Bolyston Police were also notified of the search. 

At around 3:30 a.m., one suspect was caught; another was caught an hour later, according to police.

Both have been arrested for previous criminal incidents, according to online posts from the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.
