UPDATE: Man Pulls Knife in Lot After Soccer Game

For the second time in a month, a soccer game turns violent at Teamworks.

A man was arrested after a soccer game erupted into a parking lot fight that involved a knife at late Monday night.

Fady Dawoud Kamel Awad, 31, 281 Elm St., Apt. B2, Windsor Locks, CT, was arrested and charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.

According to police, an altercation occurred during an indoor soccer game at Teamworks earlier that evening, which lead to the same two parties arguing in the parking lot after the game. Awad, who was wielding a knife during the argument, was arrested.

Awad brandished a knife in a threatening way, according to police, toward the victim in the parking lot of Teamworks, and had to be restrained. When police arrived, Awad did not have the knife in his possession. It was located later at the site of the incident.

Westborough police were called to assist with the situation.

The case is continued to March 9.

This is the second altercation at Teamworks this month involving a soccer game.
