Police Log: Two missing Boys, Loose Poodle

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

8:20 a.m.: A car crashed into a telephone pole on Cherry Street. No injuries were reported.

10:06 a.m.: A car rolled over on Hemmingway Street near Faulkner Road. The operator was transported to the hospital and the vehicle was towed.

11:13 a.m.: A caller from Hartford Turnpike reported and assault that had occurred. Upon officers’ arrival the person did not wish to file a report or receive medical treatment.

Thursday, Jan. 17

7:16 a.m.:  A caller from a business at 587 Boston Trnpk. reported larceny.

8:55 a.m.: A caller from Mars Drive reported a larceny regarding a package from UPS.

10:11 a.m.: A caller from AAMCO transmissions on Boston Turnpike reported a past break-in to a vehicle. An officer responded and determined that it was vandalism.

1:57 p.m.: A caller from Stoneybrook Lane reported a male going through recycling bins. Officers were unable to make contact with the man.

4:00 p.m.: An officer made several traffic stops at the intersection of Route 9 and Maple Avenue.

7:48 p.m.: An officer assisted a cab driver with an intoxicated passenger on Janet Circle. The female in the cab was taken in to protective custody.

Friday, Jan. 18

1:11 a.m.: An officer responded to three suspicious juvenile males at 176 Boston Trnpk. After fleeing on foot one of the males was caught and transported home, the parents of the other two boys were notified.

10:24 a.m.: The Animal Control Officer responded to Cherry Street for a report of a loose poodle. The officer was unable to find the dog.

1:13 p.m.: An officer spoke to two drivers after stopping them on Elm Street.

5:15 p.m.: One vehicle was towed after a three-car crash at 625 Hartford Trnpk.

5:44 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Boston Turnpike at Gleason Road and arrested Michael Yazhari, 23, of 6 Swan Cir. Yazhari was charged with unlicensed operation and a license plate violation.

6:17 p.m.: A resident of Minuteman Way reported a missing juvenile male.

7:27 p.m.: A resident of Oak Street went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report a missing juvenile male.

10:45 p.m.: Officers responded to a 911 call from the intersection of Main and Grafton streets reporting a hit and run crash. A message was left for the owner of the suspect vehicle.
