Police Continue Investigating Vandalism at Trails

"If anyone has any information at all, we would very much like to hear from them," Police Chief Mark Leahy said during Monday night's board of selectmen meeting.

Northborough Police continue investigating the vandalism of bridges along Proctor Trail on Rice Avenue.

"If anyone has any information at all, we would very much like to hear from them," Police Chief Mark Leahy said during Monday night's board of selectmen meeting.

The incident was reported at 8:13 p.m. Sunday, according to the Northborough Police log.

Police notified the trails committee.

Selectmen Chairman Leslie Rutan said a friend posted last weekend on Facebook that she observed vandalism at the trails.

"That is a shame. That just saddens me that that kind of thing happens," Rutan said.

"I don't know if the people who did it know how much work goes into that."

Rutan called the trails committee's work "incredible."

"To have it defaced is very sad to me," she said.
