Northborough Resident Faces Alcohol, Drug Charges

A Northborough resident faces alcohol and drug charges for an alleged incident on Northgate Road early Sunday.
Northborough Police arrested Phillip D. Mercier, 25, of 2 Sunset Drive, Northborough, and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor; operating under the influence of drugs; possession of a Class B substance; and a marked lanes violation, according to the Northborough Police log.
The incident on Northgate Road was reported at 3:46 a.m. Sunday. McFee and Newton was called for a tow.

At 4:17 a.m., on Church Street, police arrested Marcus T. Atkinson, 18, of 51 Country Lane, Leominster, and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor; a marked lanes violation; unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle; speeding; leaving the scene of property damage; use of a motor vehicle without authority; and breaking into a building, ship, vehicle or vessel.
At 7:14 a.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on Bryant Lane.
At 8:18 a.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on West Main Street.
At 10:33 a.m., Westborough Police assisted police with a disabled motor vehicle on Southwest Cutoff.
At 10:43 a.m., police assisted the fire department with a gas odor in a Coolidge Circle residence.
At 12:52 p.m., police received a report from Wheeler Lane of a found driver's license and credit card.
