Northborough Police Sergeants to Get 2% Raise

Town reaches tentative three-year deal with the union.

Members of Northborough's police sergeants union will get a 2 percent raise annually for the next three years.

Town officials said Monday in a press release they've reached a tentative three-year contract with the Police Sergeants Union, Local 165A, Massachusetts Coalition of Police, AFL-CIO.

The deal will cost an estimated $7,961 in year one, according to the press release.

The last contract expired June 30.

The latest three-year contracts with the Police Patrol Officers Union, the Dispatchers Union, and the Northborough Municipal Employees Association also call for 2 percent wage increases each year, the press release says.

The fire union contract is the only one left for Northborough officials to settle, the release states.
