Man Accused of Raping, Beating Northborough Woman Has Dangerousness Hearing

A Norwood man will have a hearing at Worcester Superior Court on Feb. 13.

A Norwood man accused of kidnapping, raping and beating a woman from Northborough will have a dangerousness hearing on Feb. 12 at the Worcester Superior Court, according to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.

Robert Ferris, 29, pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, kidnapping, assault and battery causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery, intimidation of a witness and threatening to commit a crime at his arraignment hearing on Jan. 8. Documents at Westborough District Court, where the case was pending, characterized the suspect as "very volatile and dangerous."

Ferris will be in custody until his hearing.
