LOG: Worcester Man Arrested for Domestic Assault, Battery

Arrests

Enrique Betancourt, 55, of Worcester, was arrested at 8:27 p.m. on March 3, and charged with assault and battery domestic, assault with a dangerous weapon, and intimidating a witness. Police were called to Whitney Road for a report of a woman yelling at a man on the phone around 7:54 p.m.

March 1, 2014

  • 8:52 a.m. Police were called to West Main Street for a report of a deer that had been struck by a vehicle. MassHighway was called to remove the carcass.
  • 9:40 a.m. A Howard Street resident came into the station to file a fraud incident.
  • 11:11 a.m. An alarm activation occurred on Blake Street.
  • 12:21 p.m. Police were called to Farmhouse Road for a report of a sick animal but it was gone when police arrived at the scene.
  • 1:09 p.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported on Shops Way.
  • 3:21 p.m. A shoplifting incident occurred on Shops Way involving baby formula.
  • 8:01 p.m. An alarm activation was reported on West Main Street.
  • 9:35 p.m. A dog was found on Main Street and the owner came to pick it up.

  • 3:50 a.m. Police were called to Shrewsbury for a mutual aid call.
  • 7:25 a.m. Police were sent to West Main Street to assist fire and rescue teams with a medical call.
  • 10:44 a.m. A minor two-vehicle accident was reported in a parking lot on Belmont Street/Route 9.
  • 12:38 p.m. Police assisted fire with an alarm activation on Bearfoot Road.
  • 12:39 p.m. Police were asked to check on the wellbeing of a man walking on Main Street but by the time an officer got there, the man was gone.
  • 12:46 p.m. A sick raccoon was reported on Brewer Street.
  • 2:20 p.m. A stray dog was reported on West Street.
  • 2:41 p.m. Police assisted EMTs with a medical on Otis Street.
  • 4:55 p.m. Police assisted with a medical call on Main Street.
  • 6:09 p.m. Police were called to Otis Street for a complaint about dogs being in a vehicle for several hours.
  • 6:27 p.m. Police were called to Southwest Cutoff for a report of a man and woman arguing.

March 3, 2014

  • 2:15 a.m. Police assisted fire with an alarm activation on Bartlett Street.
  • 8:14 a.m. A Church Street resident requested a life assist.
  • 8:23 a.m. Police were called to Overlook Pk to check on the wellbeing of a woman who was later spoken to.
  • 8:39 a.m. Police were sent to Longfellow Road to check on the wellbeing of a man. He was later given a courtesy ride home.
  • 11:07 a.m. Police assisted EMTs with a medical call.
  • 6:55 p.m. A hit-and-run incident was reported on West Main Street with a vehicle hit in a parking lot.
