Kidnapped Northborough Woman Found in New Jersey

One man attempted to escape arrest but fell through the ceiling tiles of a hospital.

Two people from New York and one from South Orange New Jersey have been charged with kidnapping a Northborough woman in Massachusetts and bringing her to Galloway, Galloway Township Police said on April 3.

Alex Jean, 27, of New York, Franklin Lambert, 19, of New York, and Kristen Moriarty, 20, of South Orange, were charged with hindering apprehension.

Galloway Police received a 9-1-1 call on March 30, from a woman who said she had been taken against her will and brought from New York to Galloway Township. 

She was able to get away from the motel room at Americas Best Inn and Suites in which she was being held. She managed to get to Dunkin Donuts on Route 30 to call for help.

It was later determined that the female was a missing 20-year-old woman out of Northborough. Further Investigation led to the arrest of the three suspects.

While in custody, Jean was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus for medical treatment. While at the hospital, Jean attempted to escape by climbing into the ceiling tiles in the bathroom.

His escape came to a crashing halt as he fell through the ceiling tiles in the waiting room, where he was apprehended by police.

He was further charged with escaping and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Jail Facility in lieu of $35,000 bail.
