Hot Dog Steamer Stolen From Pizza Place Overnight

Equipment and cash were stolen from a local pizza place.

A local pizza place was broken into during the overnight hours of Nov. 13, according to police.

Cash from a register, video surveillance equipment and a hot dog steamer were stolen from Freshway Pizza during the break-in.

According to police, an employee who was opening the business in the morning discovered that the rear door had been forced open.

"The hot dog steamer is obviously an unusual piece of equipment to have been stolen," said Sgt. Det. Brian Griffin. "I can’t say I’ve ever really seen that before."

There are no suspects at this time, and Det. Scott Maffioli and officer Phil Martin are investigating.
