Thieves Only Take Women's Clothing in Hudson Street Break-In

A very "unusual" break-in occurred on Hudson Street yesterday.

A woman lost much of her wardrobe when intruders broke in and apparently stole a "large amount of female clothing" during a break-in yesterday on Hudson Street.

Officers responded to 183 Hudson St. on Thursday, Oct. 4, where a break-in had occurred sometime between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

According to police, when the victims arrived home, they discovered that someone had forced their way into the apartment and a large amount of clothing, which had been hanging in a closet, was stolen.

"This is obviously an unusual type of breaking and entering as far as the items that were stolen," said Det. Brian Griffin. "I don’t ever recall a breaking and entering where all that was taken was clothing."

Griffin added that police do not believe the break-in is connected with the rash of B&Es that occurred over the past two months.
