Bear Reported on Rice Avenue on Friday Night

A bear was reported spotted on Rice Avenue at 7:21 p.m. Friday, according to the Northborough Police log.

Northborough Police notified the Massachusetts Environmental Police, which said they would not be responding.

On Friday, at 10:22 a.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on Intervale Farm Lane.

At 12:21 p.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on Rice Avenue.

At 1:15 p.m., police received a report from Edge Way of a past break-in.

At 4:20 p.m., police received a report from Shops Way of a child locked inside a vehicle. The officer was cancelled; the caller got inside the vehicle.

At 5:06 p.m., police received a report from Otis Street of the larceny of a purse.

At 5:29 p.m., police received a report from Shops Way of the larceny of a cell phone.

At 9:15 p.m., police received a report from Bartlett Street that three females were assaulted.

On Saturday, at 1:33 a.m., police received a report from Autumn Lane: a son called stating he had an argument with his mother.

At 4:15 a.m., police assisted the fire department with an alarm on West Main Street.

At 7:09 a.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on Carriage Hill Road.

At 7:46 a.m., police received a loud music complaint from Howard Street. Police spoke to the person playing the music.

At 9:14 a.m., police assisted the fire department on Avalon Drive with a natural gas odor in an apartment.

At 9:55 a.m., police assisted the fire department with a carbon monoxide detector activation on Whitney Street.

At 11:34 a.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on Ball Street.

At 12:20 p.m., police received a report from Green Street that someone had drawn on a tree.

At 1:12 p.m., police received a report from Bartlett Street of found property. A black wallet was found, and returned to its owner.

At 2:24 p.m., police received a report from Bartlett Street of a found cell phone, which was returned to its owner.

At 3:03 p.m., police assisted the fire department with a medical on West Main Street.

At 5:01 p.m., police assisted the fire department with a public assist on Whitney Street.

At 7:54 p.m., police received a report from Main Street that a female employee took product from their store.

At 9:27 p.m., police received a report from Bartlett Street of a found Massachusetts identification.
