Anza Gets Probation Sentence for Illegal Dump

Santo Anza was sentenced to probation for environmental violations.

Santo Anza, the Northborough man convicted of multiple charges of using his SA Farm on Whitney Street as an illegal dumping ground, was sentenced to five years' probation in Worcester Superior Court on Thursday, reported the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.

Anza, 52, was found guilty earlier this month of violating the state's clean air acts and solid waste acts. Judge Richard T. Tucker sentenced him to a year in jail, but suspended it for five while on probation, said the Telegram. Anza must also clear the 15 acres of solid waste within 60 days.
